I’ve been a little quiet on my blog of late. You’ll be pleased to hear that’s because I’ve been busy with Book 4. ‘Cradle of Saints’ is tantalisingly close to completion!

These final few weeks are the hardest in many ways. I’m impatient to finish and share it with you all, but I’m also toying with fresh plot lines that have presented themselves through the process of writing, and wondering where and how to weave them in, if at all. Those moments of pure creativity are the best part of being a writer–sifting through all the possible ways to tell the story, weighing each approach for its value in advancing plot, revealing character, and elucidating theme … How to choose what to tell? And why?
I’m lucky that the world of ‘The Chronicles’ is so rich and vast–there is so much that could be said, so much history that can be mined. Finding and following the right ‘through line’ is like mining for gold (and just as much fun!).
But it’s nearly there. I have my cover artwork ready, and I’m pulling together all the maps and materials that will help me to tell this chunk of the story.
So bear with me, and keep your eyes peeled. I can’t wait to share it with you!
Anxiously waiting for Cradle of Saints!
Wondering if this will complete the story?
