St Columba gets a shout-out (as does “The Chronicles of Iona: Exile”)

The clairvoyant gifts of the real St Columba got a shout-out on one of my favorite history blogs yesterday—Beachcombing’s Bizarre History Blog (The outlandish, the anomalous and the curious from the last five thousand years).  http://www.strangehistory.net/

As did my book, “The Chronicles of Iona: Exile”, which Dr. Beachcombing rather kindly equates to T.H. White’s “The Once and Future King” series.  (Thanks, Beach!)

You never know what arcane but erudite subject is going to land in your inbox when Dr. Beachcombing blogs (and, being wonderfully prolific, he blogs frequently!).  The range of his interests, the depth of his scholarship, is breathtaking.  And, as his blog title proclaims, there is always an element of the surreal to it.

You can see the blog-post about Columba and “The Chronicles of Iona: Exile” here:

And consider adding Beachcombing to your RSS feed.   It’s invigorating reading.
