Are you considering a degree in medieval history but question its applicability in the real world? Have you ever wanted to study one of the Celtic languages, or find out more about the history of the British Isles, or try your hand at Norse runes? Heard good things about the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at The University of Cambridge in England but want to check it out before committing to a degree-program?
Well, if you are a student in the UK, you can do so for free this summer. For the first time, the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge (where I did my Ph.D.) is offering a summer course in conjunction with the Sutton Trust. The course is aimed at Year 12 pupils who attend UK state schools.

Ah, to be young and British! This is really neat……
